Donations

State law (RCW 43.113) created the commission and authorizes fundraising from various sources. The other ethnic commissions in state government can also raise funds.

Our state budget narrowly supports our three staff, office space, limited travel, and basic expenses.  To create an event, research a policy topic, commission a study, or produce a report, we usually must raise funds. 

Donations make our events, research, and special publications possible, sustains advocacy efforts and encourages relationship building in our community. These efforts emphasize self-empowerment, civic involvement, and healthy, productive lifestyles.  We eagerly recognize and acknowledge our donors for their generosity.
