Two positions on the CBEM Advisory Board are open:

750 Hour Esthetician and Hair Designer

Members of the Advisory Board provide an important link between the Department of Licensing, the public, the legislature, and the governor. The information that members provide about industry and community needs can have a profound effect on state policies and lead to improved service.

Persons of color are encouraged to apply to this Advisory Board. Expectations are:

• Attend scheduled quarterly board meetings
• Be available for additional meetings when necessary
• Become knowledgeable about the legislative process and issues affecting the board
• Interpret community opinions, attitudes and needs
• Offer proposals and recommend changes in programs, policies and standards

Appointed members will receive $50 compensation for each full day and $25 for each half-day spent conducting official business plus reimbursement for travel expenses.
