Black History Month 2023!

Honoring our talents! Black History Month began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. Although the month of Februrary is set aside as the time of recognition, Black history is everyday, all day!

G. Carter Woodson, the father of Black History Month, began publishing The Journal of Negro History (now the Journal of African American History) in 1916. It is now the oldest Black-owned journal in the USA dedicated to the Pan-Africanist ideals of reconciling Black histories.
