Small Business? Resources For the New Entrepreneur!

Small Black businesses arent new. History shows us how our businesses sustained and grew the African American community. We strongly support and advocate for an equitable economy for all Washingtonians  - working with organizations that can provide assistance. Finding resources is critical in launching a business. These organizations help with both simple and complex questions to help you with your entrepreneurial dreams!

 

  • The Washington Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a network of expert business advisors working in communities across the state to help small business owners start, grow and rebuild their businesses through no-cost, confidential, one-on-one consulting and advising. Email: washington@wsbdc.org Phone: (833) 492-7232

 

  • Partners of the Small Business Resiliency Network (SBRN) provide culturally and linguistically relevant assistance and other business support services at no cost to entrepreneurs, small businesses and nonprofits – with an emphasis on those owned by historically marginalized and underserved persons – throughout Washington. Technical assistance from trusted community messengers can help you with finding and applying for resources, technical assistance, accessing translation assistance and how to navigating local, state and federal resources

 

  • Tabor 100 is an association of entrepreneurs and business advocates who are committed to economic power, educational excellence and social equity for African-Americans and the community at large

 

  • APEX Accelerator, formerly Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), advises businesses on how to win government contracts and subcontracts. The one-on-one technical assistance includes bid reviews, marketing assistance, contract performance, small business certifications, and more. APEX Accelerators and PTACs also hosts procurement training classes and seminars, and helps businesses register with the correct databases in order to compete for government contracts

 

 

  • Business Impact NW is a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to serving underbanked entrepreneurs. We provide coaching, classes, and access to capital to community small businesses, with an emphasis on working with socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in the financial and business sectors; our services are OPEN TO ALL
