Chair, Commissioner Reverend Walter J. Kendricks

Reverend Kendricks is pastor of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Spokane WA, having accepted the call to the Pastorage from GOD and the church body in November 2013. A graduate of Faith Evangelical College and Seminary of Tacoma, Washington, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with an emphasis on the Old Testament writings. He retired from United Airlines in September 2012 with 35 years of service.
An activist within the Spokane Community, Reverend Kendricks is a founding member of S.C.A.R - Spokane Community Against Racism and is active with the Spokane branch of the NAACP and serves as Vice-President of the Board of the Carl Maxey Center, in Spokane Washington.
He currently serves as 2nd Vice-President of the North Pacific Baptist Convention and as President of the Spokane Ministerial Fellowship since January 2016. He has two brothers and is the proud father of one son. Hobbies include all major sports, old black & white movies, reading, traveling and stimulating conversation.
